ICARUS DRONE TRAINING TO ACHIEVE YOUR PERMISSION FOR COMMERCIAL OPERATION (PfCO) FROM THE CAA

For pilots who wish to earn their PfCO quickly, efficiently, and set themselves apart from the numerous commercial 'drone' pilots out there, the new ICARUS PRO course is for you!
The ICARUS PRO course centres around pilots becoming aerial operation experts. Based on the layout of the ICARUS Standard, the ICARUS Pro has an additional day which covers the following subjects and includes a full Night Flight Module, Operations Manual, Operational Evaluation Demonstration and a Small Training Drone. AMP’s instructors will also guide each candidate through the completion of the CAA's SRG1320 form (your application to the CAA for the issue of a Permission for Commercial Operation).
Candidates will receive ICARUS Pro Merchandise an ID Card and the opportunity to be featured on the PRO PILOTS. Featuring profiles of each ICARUS Pro Pilot, the website will be used to highlight ICARUS Qualified UAV Operators & each ICARUS Pro Pilot will have a photograph, bio and link to their website featured on their 'pin' on the map!

What is not included?
fee to caa
The payment to the CAA is paid directly to them, over the phone after your documents have been submitted by the ICARUS Team. First Time Submission Fee = £173 and Renewal Fee = £130.
commercial drone insurance
We recommend that you use Coverdrone or Moonrock for your Commercial Drone Insurance - give them a call to get a quote!
practical flight training
As we train students of all levels of flight competency, from complete novices to heavily experienced operators, we do not include practical flight training within the course. ICARUS FLIGHT TRAINING can be added at any point. The training can be used for your first flight with an instructor, to gaining some technique tips before your practical exam (OE).
What's left once I leave the course?
Just your FLIGHT TEST.
After the flight test each Candidate will need to send to email@example.com: -
The latest version of their Operations Manual, complete with signature
A copy of your Insurance Certificate/Policy Schedule
Insurance Compliance Form (available from your Insurance Broker or Underwriter)
A copy of your up to date Flight Logs (if possible)
A photograph of all aircraft contained within your Operations Manual
A Completed SRG1320 Form, which can be downloaded here.
ICARUS will deal with the CAA Submission, once all the documentation has been completed by each candidate. Once the submission has been processed and the fee has been paid the CAA will issue the candidate with their Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO).
